Late payment/Credit report

I have nothing but contempt for this bank.

Last June I missed a payment on my Shell card. We had been living in AZ since February and drove back to our main home in IL in late May. While in AZ we were having our mail forwarded from IL but we never received this particular bill (thanks to USPS I believe). I only became aware of the missed payment when I received the next bill whereupon I paid everything up to date.

This resulted in a 30 day late payment ding on my otherwise currently and historically spotless credit report (high 7's / low 8's). No record of prior late payments to Shell or any other creditor for that matter. I am 70 years old and extremely responsible.

To date, repeated attempts to have this deleted... As a courtesy to a good and trusted customer if nothing else... Have fallen on deaf ears.

I despise their bureaucratic indifference.
