$25 Weekend Late Fee Credited, Then Taken Back as Refund

I really can't believe this happened.

Last November I made a payment on a Monday that was due on the weekend. They charged me $25.00 for being late, even though the due date fell on a weekend. I complained about it and received a bill adjustment of $25.00. In the meantime, I paid off the balance of the account before they took off the $25.00, which left me with a credit of, you guessed it, $25.00.

It showed up on the December statement. Then in January of 2011 they did something completely insane. They took back the $25.00 and called it a "Credit balance refund." Now, in my book, and just about everyone else's books including the dictionary, "refund" means to give back or return.

So, in PayPal fashion, their only desire is the almighty dollar, getting it any way possible. It does not matter who you hurt, as long as you get the money.

When I found out that PayPal had bought Bill Me Later, I decided I would no longer do business with them, but I was cheated before I could get away from them fast enough.
