I canceled my insurance, the day before the money was to be taken from my account. I found out the money had been taken 4 days before the authorized date. This cancelation occured on 12-7 it is now the 21st and they told me when I called it was processed today. And the refund amount was less than what they took out. The guy told me I owed them a few dollars, on my premium, that's why I wasn't getting the full amount. And then tried to explain the math to me. I told him, I canceled one day before the premium was due. Not only should I get the full amount back, but also the amount due back to me for that one day. After about 30 minutes on the phone, he says. Yes, I see what you mean. How can they take your money and not pay you interest on it? Why should they benefit from my money, when they have taken it despite me telling them to cancel the withdrawal? This should be illegal. Oh yeah, and they mailed a check, instead of returning it to my account the same day. I'm sure to delay it for me, so they get the most interest off it.
