Ripoff Who are these people? I don't own a CCard by either of these companies. They say I owe them $390.44 - FOR WHAT!

Who are these people? I received a notice in the mail from Allied Interstate on behalf of Household Bank (SB), N.A. I have NEVER heard of either of these companies. I do not own a credit card from either of these companies.

They say I owe Household Bank $390.44 I looked Household Bank up on the internet and called them. They asked for my credit card number - I DON'T HAVE A CREDIT CARD WITH YOU - I said. I gave them a 'Client Ref. No:' listed on the letter I received - it didn't help - they said they needed my Social SECURITY number to check to see if i had a credit card with them since they have so many different types of credit cards. I told them 'No' I will not give it to you - I don't know who you are. She, Vivian, gave me a laundry list of credit card types [not all of them but many] and I don't have them. We hung up.

I called BOTH numbers listed on this letter I received and I did not get an answer - no message machine - nothing.

I intend to contact my Attorney Monday morning - I will also attempt to contact the two numbers again - I intend to press charges against both companies for this grotesque abuse and will file for damages @ 100% of the amount they claim I oew them. Maybe it will handcuffs, bars and negative newspaper coverage will stop them.
