Citifinancial ripoff, dishonest, fraudulent, harassing, deceptive, threatening

When Citifinancial took over Associates in a settlement with the FTC in we were not informed, until we began receiving threatening letters. We had standing payment arrangements with Associates for many months, which actually put a few months way over our payment. The overage was to go to principal..

When I'd call in response to the threatening letters and calls, I was told repeatedly to disregard these, as we had different arrangements and these were computer generated, and we were in good standing. Finally I got tired of calling, talking, etc, and quit calling or answering calls. Then, in April of this year, I finally answered the phone, to be told that that payment arrangement was never ok, and their system wouldn't even accept that arrangement, and therefore, all of the months prior, instead of getting ahead, the late fees had "accumulated" daily, she said.

She also stated that there was no record of our mortgage prior to June. Yet, this is the same company which took over our previous mortgage company and was trying to hide this info from us. When she finally manipulated my husband into sending a huge amt. Of money we didn't owe, via Western Union, he in return demanded a printout of our payments, itemized. When we received this, it went all the way back to May???

Then, when I got 1.5mos behind, owing half of Aug, and all of September, I was called again, the last week of Sept, and told that I owed all the way back to half of July. When I responded that I had documentation to prove otherwise, she immediately responded that I still owed a little less than half of Aug???!! Then demanding it all be sent Western Union to guarantee it would get there before they forclosed, and again my husband did.

Then, one week later, as had been usual every month, we received a threatening letter, and I simply responded with a letter, informing them I'd be sending one with all of their violations, my documentation, and my requests, along with a nice request for any ideas they may have of resolving this. I sent another letter, with signiature verification required, and included that I would not be participating in any further telephone conversations, and that any further contact must be in writing, as they have not kept any agreement, and requested a response in writing...

Almost a month later, and I still receive 4-6 calls daily, starting as early as 7:30am Sunday mornings, and from 3 different numbers, and not a single written response, only more computer generated threats even after 1 month late.
