Ut the system is a joke for members of the public who pay online. I religiously record all my passwords, but verified by visa has this ridiculous automatic lock out if you don't use it every 30 days.

This lock out is either a) supposed to encourage you to use your card more regularly (I wont) and b) discourage fraudsters. It may well help in the later, but visa, like so many companies of their ilk, clearly couldn't care less about the inconvenience of the service for the customer. Complete rubbish.
