Hidden Costs to Donors—beware

The non-profit I work for used Click and Pledge as an easy way for donors to give to our cause. However, many donors found that their small donations cost more than they wanted to give, because of "international banking fees." For example, a $5.00 donation might entail a $3.62 additional fee that would appear on the donor's credit card statement. Click and Pledge offers a "Merchant Account" that supposedly prevents this, but at a higher cost to the organization. They do not respond to requests to refund the overcharges to donors.
