Took $2000 for promise to refinance mortgage with Chase Mortgage - per Chase, Elect never contacted them, rarely communicated with me, and took my payment very shortly before going out of business

Elect made promises to contact Chase, my mortgage company, and refinance my motgage with a guaranteed savings per month of at least $300. I paid $2000 cash to Elect and waited 3 months (October) with no communicatiom, then called Elect who asserted they were well along in negotiations. I then called Chase Mortgage who advised Elect had never called them on my behalf and no negotiations were under way. I complained to Elect, was told at that time that in they could not proceed since I was behind one payment (had been hospitalized which precipitated the original cal to Elect) - a new excuse for them. I called a number of times over the next 6 months and my calls were ignored although I did get 1 call with a new promise that negotiations were close to a resolution with Chase, Again, Chase advised they had not heard from Elect regarding my situation. I then found by repeatedly calling that their business number that I had used had been disconnected. No response to web messages was ever received, again despite repeated attempts.in short my $2000 never bought me any representation or so much as a contact with my mortgage company. I filed a claim with the Florida Attorney General using E mail but was never able to connect with the person handling the case in that office. I have received no reimbursement despite attempts to reach Elect Group and Florida AG, whom I contacted at behest of BBB in Florida.
