Stanford Who's Who
Is a fraud, they took unauthorized charges out of my bank account

Business & Finance

On May 20th I received a call from Lori Langella of Stanford Who's Who. She had called to Discuss the application I filled out online to become a member of their establishment. She performed a brief interview and asked a few questions about my employment and my future endeavors. After the conversation she stated that I have been accepted amongst the Who's Who most accomplished individuals. To make a long story, Lori explained that there would be a fee of $7.89 taken from my account that day and then a 9.99 membership fee that will be automatically debited from my card every month, and then on July 1st a lifetime membership fee of 199.00 will be deducted from my account one time. I am always careful when it comes to giving out my card information, so I was checking my bank account periodically to make sure the right funds were deducted. At approximately 3:15 on the 20th I checked my account and Stanford Who's who attempted to withdraw several payments from my account but my bank denied the first two transactions. However, they were successful at withdrawing 718.00 they took 618.00 on one attempt and another 100.00 on another attempt, causing my account to be overdrawn by 626.00. I contact Lori and advised her of the situation she said she was going to get with the department that does the processing and will get back with me. I have not heard from a soul.
