A1 National Van Hire
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - Ford Luton Hydraulic Van

We booked (and paid for upfront) a van with this company to move house on 8th March. The van didn't turn up and they were not contactable on any of the 4 telephone numbers we could find on their website. We had to find another van that moring as we were moving house that day.

We have been in touch with them several times since to ask for a refund. On three ocassions they have said the refund has been processed and it will be in our account within 3-5 days. Complete rubbish. We have not received our refund to date (26th April).

Despite NUMEROUS calls and a letter sent registered post to their managing director, Paul Harding, we still do not have our money back.in fact, on 2 ocassions we were given fictitious transaction reference numbers for our refund. Our only option now is to pursue them through the small claims court. A1 National Van Hire are liars. Their customer service is terrible. The staff are on the whole, very rude and the MD is never contactable - and they never call you back despite promising to do so. If you ask to speak to someone in charge, they will always tell you he is due in later that day or he has just popped out.

DO NOT use this company. Go direct to hire companies - it will probably be cheaper and more reliable and will save you weeks of sorting out the mess they create. These cowboys don't deserve your hard earned cash.
