Bank of America
Overdraft Fees Internet

Business & Finance

I'm trying to avoid retyping this over and over, this was my email to Bank of America today. I'm keeping my promise...

Today my husband and I noticed that we had overdrawn our checking account. Since September this happened monthly. My husband recently had to change jobs, and he took a dramatic pay decrease. I am not making excuses. Im simply pointing out that if you look back at our account, over the last 10 years, then you will see that our account is a recent thing. Tonight, one of your customer service representatives told my husband that he could not help us at all, due to the fact that we had more than 9 overdraft fees in the last 12 months. When my husband inquired as to why we were allowed to continue to withdraw money after our account was in the hole, the guy replied that our good credit standing allowed us. So what it sounds like to me is that you wont help us but you will continue to let us hurt ourselves. Thanks but no thanks. On Friday, my husband and I will be going and closing all of our accounts, except for our credit card, which we have to pay off first. I dont appreciate the way I am being treated and the lack of help I am receiving from the bank I have banked with since I was 18 years old. And you can believe I will let everyone know about the treatment Ive received from your bank.
