Donald Wall And Tim Phillips Approve Loan, i Have The Document Always Came Up With And Excuse To Give Me The Loan Or Refund. Cedarview lending

Business & Finance

I had been desperatly looking for a way to get financing for a purchase I wanted to make and had applied for a personal loan through Loanunion.net on June 17th, and was contacted by a man named Donald Wall and later Tim Phillips from Cedarview lending group on June 17th. The first thing he said to me was that he would like to congratulate me on my approval, I had applied for 5000.00 but he said the min. That they approve is 5000.00 and asked if that would be okay. Of course I said yes!

I was so excited I could hardley sit still at work. He insisted on going over some terms and conditions and the details of the loan. I was amazed that with my bad credit that he could get me 7% fixed rate. I asked how this was possible. He stated that my ap was placed into a pool and they first tried through banks and such but finally found a private investor to fund my loan, from Canada, he could not give me her information as to which company she worked for due to privacy laws and since he was a loan broker that all had to go through his company.

Supposedly this ivestor had already sent the money to Cedarviews account and was awaiting disbursement upon my completed application. I had my heart set on. I was told that I needed to make the first 4 months payments of 221.00 to secure the loan and show that I really wanted the loan, and even on the contract it states that these first 4 months payments would come directly off of the principal. I had the money in hand and we finished the paperwork and I faxed it back. He was very insistant that I go to Wal-mart to send the money and for me to call him so he could help me fill in the information.

Afterwork, I went to Wal-mart and called him as instructed, The money was to be sent to Darlene Cochran in Winnipeg MB Canada. I questioned this and was told that she was the private investor and the reason I was sending it to her instead of a company was to avoid certian taxes and fees. I was to tell the cashier if she asked me, that it was a personal matter and not business. And he even knew the exact cost to send it, The next morning I come to work and receive a phone call from a Tim Phillip Customer service manager.

By this time I had even more questions, was feeling very uneasy about all of this and when he hit me with the next part, it nearly confirmed my thoughts. He said that due to some discrepancy in my application and what the investor found in my credit, that an additional 4 months payments would be needed. I was very upset. I said I wanted to cancel the loan and wanted my refund. He said I could not be refunded until it went through their billing cycle and it would be July 14th or 24th before the funds would be deposited into my account.

By this time I was so upset and had my heart set on the purchase I was trying to get the money to prevent foreclosure. He convince me for on the phone that the research I had been doing was companies mimicking legitamate businesses such as the one he worked for. He was a good talker. Very smooth and good at calming my fears and uncertianty. So I scambled all day to find more funds, I was able to come up with 710.00 more, I went to wal-mart again and sent it. I came back to work and started doing more research, had found that their web page had just been created on 5/26/09, the email included gave a return failure when I tried to send an email, I googled their physical address and found that the other businesses in this address, knew nothing of this Cedarview lending.

I called the phone number again and again and pressed some different buttons... Call would not go through. I was scammed. What a terrible feeling. It is Tuesday and the money is not there and the number no longer exist. I am filing with the FBI, FTC and Royal Canadian Mounted Police. I know I will not recover my 1400.00 that I so foolishly sent, but maybe I can stop the next scam from happening. This was a lesson well learned. These people are heartless and some of the best con artists out there, they prey on people who are desperate for money. All I could think about was the end result and the purchase, If I would have done half of the research that I did after the money was sent, prior to sending it, it would not have happened.
