5/3 - Fifth Third Banking
A huge ripoff

I have been banking with 5/3 for several years, now I'm having doubts, of going elsewhere. It started on May 23,09 I deposited a check from a person into my account. The check was a bad one, it bounced. Therefore, since I am on unemployment, (I have direct depositing), since this check was a bouncer, 5/3 charged me. For the whole amount plus alot more. 5/3 sent this check threw 5 times. Making me, minus 600.00 in the bank. I went into the bank to talk with the manager. I asked WHY did they continue to forward the check that many times into my account? She told me, she did not know why they continued to send through a check like they did. She said she would give me credit for 37.00 for doubling up. Since I do not qualify for overdraft protection, (I have a loan on a new car making monthly payments, never late) I opened another account up, 2 years ago for if this should happen. 5/3 drained that account, then decided to bounce anything I had there (I only use this account for if I do bounce something, nothing else). Since I recieve unemployment, and I have the direct deposit, I had to use all of my money that I have not recieved yet. This so called early access, from my funds. To cover a check I did not write out. Today is, June 7,09. Good old nasty 5/3 sent that bad check thru 2 more times, I still am minus in both accounts. I can not see anyone until Monday morning. They have racked up so much money from me, its so unbelievable. Since 5/3 is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, they just spent 50 million plus dollars to upgrade their facilties in downtown Cincinnati, so maybe, I'm helping pay for that. I want my money back and my life. I do realize I am not the first to have this happen to, but hopefully I will be the last.
