United financial claims another wounded duck

After four years and only paying off half the debt i decided to pay it off. What a run around that was. UFS was telling me that it was the banks problem, i call the bank they say it was UFS's problem.

Anyway got the payoff sent it in form of a bank certified check. It took 10-11 days for that to clear and longer then that for the money to be wired to the bank. All this needed to be done before the 30 days for the payoff.

UFS insured me that the payoff was the was the payoff and i would not owe any balance. The accounts are to be closed once you start the program. Well because everybody else dragged there feet i get a statement in the mail with a balence on it from an account that was supposed to be closed.

Because UFC did not payoff in a timely matter there was a remaining balance and the account can not close with any balance on it. So guess who has to pay it? More money out of my pocket above and beyond the money i have already put out. Consumer beware!!!
