Mark Honnell & Northpointe Funding Ripped Me Off For $5,000

I paid Mark Honnell $5,000 for him to locate and provide a line of credittraunch that would be used to fund multiple commercial real estate projects throughout the country. Mr. Honell stated that he had done this several times before and that he had several sources to call upon. Mr. Honnell was very prompt and courteous during our phone calls prior to receiving my funds. However, after funds were received, it was very difficult to get in touch with Mr. Honnell. Several phone calls and emails went unanswered for weeks. Finally, after numerous phone calls, Mr. Honnell picked up the phone and said "Ok, alright then". I asked why he hadn't returned my phone calls and emails and he stated that he was on the phone constantly and he apoligized and stated that he had 3 investors that were interested in my project and that I need to be patient. I accepted his response and asked that I be updated once per week on the status and he agreed. Several weeks went by again with no communication and unanswered phone calls. After several emails, Mr. Honnell replied and stated that it was a difficult market and he was having problems finding my funding. At this point in time I requested a full refund and he denied my request and stated that he will abide by the terms of the contract and continue to work on finding me funding. I replied and stated that I wasn't interested in having him continue and demanded a refund. To date, no refund has been paid and no funding has occurred. I also noticed that other individuals have posted complaints on this website. Mr. Honnell appears to be taking advantage of the fact that no regulatory agencies oversee commercial lending.in fact, Mr. Honnell stated in an email that he has done extensive research on this fact and contends that everything he is doing is legal. According to these statements, Mr. Honnell has found a creative way to take money from unsuspecting individuals without any recourse if a service is not provided.
