Going through a hardship - HFC doesn't care, they force house insurance for $800/mth

The company I worked for dissolved. HFC worked with me and put me on a 6 month hardship. After 6 months, I was still unemployed. They refuse to put me on another hardship because they only do 1 per year, plus they claim that I missed a payment which I provided proof from my bank that I did not miss one payment at all. On my seventh month, I became employed again. I requested from HFC to work with me in lowering my monthly payment because the new job did not pay me as much as I previously was making. They reduced my mortgage approx. $40.00. That is right $40.00. So my payment of $3,124, decreased to $3,080.00.

For 8 months I would speak with a rep but to no avail they refused to help me. They even went so far to ask me for family paystubs, copy of our house insurance, etc... And they would see what they can do. My house insurance had lapsed and I just could not afford to renew. I was probably about 7 to 8 months with no house insurance. Because I provided the information they requested, they realized that I did not have insurance, so they forced insurance of approximately $700.00 a month. Understand that my house insurance to renew was a down payment of $800 and a monthly payment of approx 200.00 again I could not afford. So what makes them think that I could afford $800.00 a month and who are they insurancing all the houses on my block?

I think this is crime that they can do this and get away with it... I totally understand that the house needs to be insuranced, but you would think that would they find an insurance company that would be reasonable. They are ripping their own customers and it's like we can't do anything about it.

To further add injury to this situation, I find myself layed off again, and now they claim that they didn't receive any stimulus from the President and they DO NOT DO LOAN MODIFICATIONS. They will work on giving me a 6 month hardship, reduce my interest rate, reduce my monthly of approx $1,000 but this is all good for 6 months only. The purpose of a loan modication is that they will reduce all the above for the duration of the loan as many other company are doing. But not HFC... I intend to write to every newspaper, call every TV station and tell them how in such a time as this, where jobs are limited, HFC REFUSES TO HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS... TO THE CONTRARY THEY CONTINUE TO ADD ON $ TO AMOUNTS THAT ARE NOT AFFORDABLE.

I have been in this home for 8 years, paid my mortgage of $3,124 with no problem as my monthly income $5200.00. It has been hell for over a year and HFC just doesn't care... They would prefer to foreclose on the property, which speaking about foreclosure, I was just served today with foreclosure papers. So they claim they are working with me, they offer me a 6 month hardship and they still file with attorneys. So I wonder who will pay for the attorney's fees??? Totally unbelievable... I may lose my home, but I will fight until I can't anymore... Like I said, I am calling the news media... And everyone that will listen and help me...
