Stealing money from my accout. Fake overdrafts!

Bank of America has started two new policies that are killing people like me that work from paycheck to paycheck literally. I end my week with less that $20 in my account and have to be careful of each dollar spent lately. They are now holding debts and having them for pending for business days upon business days and then they adjust them (3 days worth of purchases) from highest to lowest causing my to overdraft little things like $2.30, $6.30, and $14.00 when I would have only overdrafted one charge of $1150 instead.

Last week really made us mad. I checked each day and each day and on Thursday afternoon, 6pm, we checked again because our boy was really sick and I needed to take him to the doctor but knew that if the daycare check went through, then we would not have but about 25 cents. So, 6pm, the banks or closed, no check showing, we take him. Everything is fine until A WEEK LATER we get 3 overdrafts of $35 each which takes us back into the red!

We called the bank who said they put things through in the order of amounts, not dates to make it easier on them. That is not fair. If I spend money, that is how it goes in my checkbook and how it should go in my checking account - after all - THIS IS MY MONEY NOT THERES! Then there new policy now is that they will put a check in on the date that you wrote it. So my daycare check, that did not post until Saturday (after which my paycheck posted) was actually then back dated by the bank to 5 days prior!

I know I would have overdrafted, because there are things you have to take into consideration when you are making financial choices - $35 for one overdraft to take my son to the doctor is worth it. But $110 because of three totals that do not even add up to $35 is insane!

They have done this to us 4 times now and we have to cut costs down to me, pregnant, not eating because we do not have food for my husband or I because they are taking over $100 each time.

YET, HERE IS THE KICKER - my account shows no read. It shows everything went through the way that I originally saw it. It shows that everything went through with no overdrafts and that the check went through on the Saturday. My account online does not show ONE THING in the red, but I received 3 overdrafts! That is just so fraudulent!

They have taken our money so many times, and we are people that are really going to be out on our butt for missing that $100! Thanks Bank of America, I hope that you can sleep at night.

PS - we called them to ask them the circumstances of this overdraft and there reply is "oh well" literally - now that is great customer service. After 15 years of being with this bank we are moving as soon as possible and I hope they fall next. Although with all the overdrafts they are taking from everyone, no wonder they are still on top!
