Rate Freeze Refused on 3/1 ARM From Closed Ameriquest Lender

Citi will not work with you under any circumstances. They are the bully of the mortgage world now.

I have been trying to get out of a 3/1 ARM that I got swindled into by AMC mortgage (Ameriquest). Citi tells me to contact them to try and work something out, but there is no one to contact because that company is shut down. My payment has gone up 107 dollars a month, and we are going to start falling behind very soon.

They say they are just the servicer on the loan and Ameriquest needs to qualify me for an interest rate freeze. Then they said that I don't qualify, when in reality I don't think this program even exists.

If anyone is ever reading this in the future, do not do business.
