Prodigy Payment Systems
Very misleading about pay, bad sales leads, broken promises, and an awful, unsellable product

Business & Finance

The promise you good sales leads and instead the majority of mine were with people who agreed to the meeting because they didn't speak good English and did not know what the appointment was for. At the vast majority of the set appointments, the person was not there.

They talk about how they fire their callers if one sets a false appointment, but in fact they simply send you back to the same place only for the person to once again not show, and then they get mad at you if you say that the appointment was bogus.

They flat out lie about their closing percentages, giving you a false impression of how much money you could make (which is none). I got several different numbers on this depending on who you asked, none of which could of been true. When everyone in my very large group of trainees was ask if they had made a sale in their first week, no one had. At about 3-4 appointments a day, that is 21-28 appointments for each person.in a group of more than 15 people no one had a sale. Their closing rates couldn't of even been close to the 15-33% they were saying.

The product you are selling is a ripoff itself. They charge every fee imaginable to the business owner and don't seem to care about making sure they are all disclosed in the process of the sale. The lease program costs an absurd amount of money for a terminal which many companies offer for free. Their fees for each credit card transaction almost never beat the customer's current fees, and though the services they offer, like check conversion, are unique, they are also expensive. They always want you to make the sale in one visit because they know that if the customer shopped around a little, they can always find someone better and cheaper.

On top of all this they make you call into the corporate office at the end of every appointment to let them talk to the person they made the appointment with and try to make the sale themselves. Of course they claim it raises sales, but not once were they successful in persuading someone to buy. After waiting for often a long while on hold for your "team leader" to pickup, they badgered the client usually until they were hung up on, leaving you to apologize for putting them on the phone with the sales shark.

Also they never paid me the money they promised for getting the highest score on their training program tests.

Awful company, awful product, awful sales leads, and false promises. Never ever get trapped into this employment scam. They clearly don't expect you to stay at the job, they just want to get some sales calls out of you quit and pay you nothing for them since it is purely commission based and in most cases you will not sell a thing.
