Encore Deceptive business practices

Miscellaneous

This company recruits people to go to businesses to sale them on their credit card services. I worked for this company for 4 months.in that time I was required to prospect my own leads (which is what any good salesman, worth his salt, should do) and turn them in to your sales leader. And they agreed to set appointments at 3 to 5 per day (through their web site and 800# line) for me. This at first worked fine but quickly turned for the worst. I was sent out on false calls and even when I new they were false (a customer named Fiber Mcgee!?!), they still insisted that I go. Soon the leads dropped to 3-5 per week. And I found that when I turned in my personal developed leads their in-house sales team was calling them to steal my sale. The in-house sales team was also calling my no-shows on my leads trying to get the sale. To the point when I do my follow-up, people were telling me to quit harrassing them. I was flabbergasted at first, til a potential client explained to me they've had several different people call them over the course of a few days. My final straw came when I signed a large account. The person at home office that schedules the set-up and answers any issues remaining, was to call my client between a certain time frame, due to the clients work schedule. She repeatedly called him outside that time frame and then called me and said he keeps hanging up on her. I talked to the client calmed him down. I called her and asked her if she was intentionally trying to lose the sale. She apologized and said she'll try him again. She then called me after about 2 weeks and said that he had cancelled. I told her that is ridiculous, I just got off the phone with him and confirmed that 1 of three locations has already been installed and up and running. She said that was not so. And that without her being able to talk to him that there's no way I can get paid my commission. I then tried to reach a higher up in the home office to discuss this issue and I was told my services were no longer required and was hung up on. When I tried to call back my number was blocked. So beware if you're looking for work. Don't go here.
