Business & Finance

I recieved a phone call offering me a 7,000 credit limit through a company called USA Credit. I was surprised and eagerly accepted. The only condition was they needed an initial fee of 199.00 to activate the account. They withdrew the money from my checking account but I never recieved anything in the mail. I called the 800 number and talked to a very nice lady who gave me the account number and exact web site. I was very excited and went on line only to discover it was a false web site. I had been ripped off. I can't describe the feeling. It was devastating.

This was a whole week of work for me. I am still reeling and I don't know how or if I can ever get my money back. I have never been scammed before and honestly the thought never even crossed my mind. Now all the signs are too obvious. Only a 1-800 number, no bank, no interest ever, 25% upfront on all purchases. Unfortunatly now I know I will have to question offers of every kind much more closely now.
