I first received a letter from them in late June 08. As i refuse to call collection or telemarketers, i wrote a letter of dispute stating that per the FDCPA, I am requesting proof and validation of this debt to include the original creditor and original balance. What i then received was a form to fill out for identity fraud. I then responded with another letter informing them that I did not dispute this debt for identity fraud reasons and requested the information again. I then received a letter from their California address stating that my second request for information was "frivolous or irrelevant". I then emailed the CEO, Stphen Fredrickson, as well as several other officers, that my request had in fact, not been frivolous or irrelevant and that by FDCPA and FTC laws, they were required to furnish me with validation of the debt. I have not received anything else from them but have found out that they are reporting it to the credit bureau's. I have since contacted all three bureau's and disputed it formally with them.
