Business & Finance

Bank of America is out for one thing: Fees.

Their sole purpose in doing business is to generate more revenue in fees and rip off the consumer. I worked for this evil company for over 7 years and as time went on they cared less and less about the customer.

In March they began to charge overdraft fees on transactions that had not yet posted to your account. Meaning, if you made a transaction for $5, and you only had $4 in your account, you'd be charged a fee - even if you made a deposit BEFORE the transaction had posted to your account.

They did not communicate this to customers, and due to this change in their policy it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep up with your account and not be charged fees.

They cancelled my debit card because they said there was fraud on it (I never lost my card or reported fraud but it just stopped working one day).

I had a secondary account in which I kept a very small balance, but I had to use that card because they blocked my primary account. I went home after making the transactions and transferred money to cover the purchases I had made, but the bank STILL charged me fees even though the account never posted any negative balance in my statement.

They did not send me my new card for over 6 weeks, and this caused me to incur over $1000 in fees due to BofA's policy of stealing from their customers.
