Diversified Collection Systems - Jessica Valim False and Misleading representation

In an attempt to locate our daughter to try to collect "unpaid" state taxes, Jessica Valim called us at our private residence. She asked if "Megan" was home. I replied no. She asked if Megan still lived here and that she had not seen Megan in a while and was trying to locate her. She asked if she was still seeing "Richard". AT NO TIME did Ms. Valim identify that she was an employee of Diversified Collection Systems. She clearly implied that she was an old friend.

As it turns out, the State of Virginia had employed DCS to collect an assumed amount of back taxes. Jessica called our daughter and attempted to pressure her to pay $2000.00 in "back taxes" in 24 hours, "or else we will take it out of your wages or your bank account and ruin your credit.

High pressure tactics to collect a debt which was NOT OWED. The State of Virginia assumed taxes due by assuming that my daughter was living in VA while working full time in Chicago! Interestingly, and in contravention of law, NO collection letters on this "debt" were ever received by any member of the family, either in Chicago or Virginia.

Judging by other compliants on this site, it appears that DCS be deleted from the list of Virginia contractors. They are "not ready for prime-time".
