Capital One Bank, N.A
They steal your deposits!

Business & Finance

My husband deposited $400 in cash yesterday and it hit our checking account instantly, as a cash deposit should. I made two purchases totaling 30.49, which should leave a balance of over $360.

This morning, I get a call from my father-in-law, who is trying to cash a check I wrote against this account. He told me there was only three cents in the account, to my shock. I call the branck and there is no record of the deposit at all! However, there was yesterday afternoon or I would not have been able to make either transaction! It was as if the deposit never happened!

The branch manager at this branch where my husband made th4e deposit was useless and could not tell us what happened. She claimed that she needed to "research" the issue, saying it happened to several customer accounts because of the transition from North Fork Bank. That is small comfort to the people I wrote checks to that will now bounce because of their screw-up! Thank God my husband had the foresight to keep the receipt from the deposit, as it proves he made it.

As soon as this is straightened out, I will pushmy husband to remove ALL of our accounts from this bank and go to somewhere more honest! This bank, since becoming Capital One, have turned into a bunch of dishonest thieves! Stay away if you can!
