This is not the first time this has happened. Bank of America (Florida) does not credit cash deposits made to our account. The deposits were made inside the window "deadline" before 2:00 PM Eastern time.
Cash was put in our account because the bank holds checks beyond their clearance requirement, in order to work off our money.
Yet, on more than one occasion, we have had to wait several days in order to have our Cash deposit show up, meanwhile the checks we have written against said cash deposit are charged, twelve times in one case, $33.00 per check as insufficient fund items.
We have had it. Bank of America never acted this way in the past 9 years we have dealt with them. The only way we can get our cash deposit credited is to go back to the branch, find the teller, and get them to credit the money to our account. What does Bank of America do with our money? Why use banks, well, because so many people you deal with have to have checks.
We support two families, and keep a very close eye on our account. I feel so taken advantage of. We are finally moving our account to another bank.
