Unfair garnishment

I took out a pay day loan from this company with every intent to pay it back as stipulated in my contract. However, by the time the money was due I wasn't able to pay it. To make a long story short after sometime... A 12/21/07 stating that I needed to pay 189.08 in order to stop them from garnishing my check. I did as requested and sent them the money by express mail night to the address they gave me. This payment was to stop them from garnishing my check.

On 2/05/08 I received a letter in the mail that my check was being garnished.

Firstly, I didn't receive any notice of the court proceedings giving me an opportunity to represent myself in court. I receive this only after the judgement was render against me stating when my check would be garnished.

Secondly, it was stated that my payment would stop garnishment but it didn't.

I have tried to call them and have left message but to no avail. Is anything I can do at this point

P.S. I further want to state that everyone deserves to be treated with respect regardless of their financial situation. You should not be talked down to and treated lowly because you have financial challenges.

And then these collecters wonder why no one wants to talk to them on the phone. Perhaps your collection tatics should be reviewed. Have you ever heard you can catch more flies with honey than that other stuff.
