Phishing Phone Call Not Sure

I have recieved several calls from a 800 number asking me to call them back. They said they were a debt collection agency. This is suprising, as I am very good about my bills, and I have never recieved anything in the mail about an unpaid bill.
I finally called them, hoping the calls would stop. A woman answered, I didn't get a name, and she asked for my phone number. I gave it to her. "To confirm my identity", she asked for my address and date of birth. I told her I didn't want to give it, since I didn't know who was calling me. (I have heard of similar scams, usually they ask for Social Security Number, but I didn't want to take the risk with my address or birthdate.) She said that legally she could not discuss the account with me until she confirmed my identity. She also assured me that she already had my date of birth, address, social security number, and employer right in front of her. I said, "Well, I don't feel comfortable with this, so can you mail me the bill, because I don't know of owing anything and if I get a bill I will be happy to pay." (I assure you, I was very polite.) Then she said, "In order to do that you need to give me your address so that we can make sure we send it to the current address." The alarm went off in my head, and I realized that this woman may not have ANY information aobut me, so I said, "That's not gonna happen" (I got a little rude.) She said, "Fine, then we'll just take legal action!"
Now, this had me worried for a little bit, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that she was simply fishing for information and mad that I wouldn't give it, especilly since I don't have any outstanding bills. I hope so, anyway.
