Homecomings Financial They lost or missapplied the payoff money for our home we sold, and are trying to foreclose on a property that has been sold

We sold our home and the title company sent them a check to pay off the balance of the house mortgage, and for four months they have insisted that we work out a repayment plan with them. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get them to find the money and apply it to our loan. But all I get is sent to someone else or hung up on and no one can seem to fix the problem. Also earlier in the year they lost all of our paperwork for payment arrangements and accidentally (they say) sent our house into forecloser, so that when we sold the home we lost almost $3000 in attorney fee's and foreclosure fee's. Someone was supposed to fix that and send us a refund check but four months later I have heard from no one and have been told that the payment to pay off the house was returned to the land and title company. The land and title company gave me a copy of the cancelled check where it came thru their bank to show that Homecomings did recieve the money. Now I have all of this negative stuff on my credit record and I can't get anyone to help, customer service actually hung up on me three times. I just want them to find the money and pay off my loan and clear my credit report. And it would be nice if they would also get me my refund, but I won't hold my breath.
