Ripoff deceptive company fraud business

As you know, credit card companies offer credit protection for a small fee (incase you become disabled, unemployed, ect.,). They state "it will make your payments when you cannot" as long as you qualify under their terms.
They make it sound as if it is their company doing this, but in fact they are sending you to a insurance company to "pay" the amount due on your monthly statement. They do not give you a choice in who carries this policy and they are under no obligation to deal with that company when you do make a claim.

Cross country bank was making 11 to 14 calls per day to us after our claim had been approved regarding payment of bill. Now, we are not the ones who are paying it-it is the company they stuck us with who is responsible for making the payments on time every month while we are eligible for this service. But no, the company made the payments after the date due and we were charged a $30.00 for that which made our balance over the limit which was another charge of $30.00.

9 Months into this service, I opened a bill from cross country thinking our balance had been paid down a bit, and our balance was almost $1000.00 over than when we started this credit protection service. They would in no way take the fees off that the insurance company payments incurred while we were under this plan that THEY offered us. Nor did we have a choice of providers for this service... Oh. And they will not guarentee
them either. They seem to think we will pay it.
