Capitol One Payment Protection
This is the biggest fraud

I purchased payment protection when I set up my Capitol One Account. Several years after I had the account, I became ill, later permanently disabled. I contacted Payment Protection, sent them the paperwork, which they said they never received. Capitol One kept calling. I told them I had Payment Protection, they responded yes I did, but they were not honoring it. Finally, I had my daughter handle the problem. She discovered that Payment Protection always had my documents from my doctor stating that I was disabled. After two weeks, they sent a letter stating that they were not paying the full amount owed as promised. Rather they were making one payment since I was able to return to work. When I called to ask where did they get this information. This is what they said, based on the discharge information that my doctor sent detailing the date I was admitted to the hospital for triple by-pass surgery, they decided that the discharge date from the hospital was the date that my doctor said I was able to go back to work.

So on August I went into the hospital and 5 days later I was released, based on that they determined that I was able to return to work. I asked how can you make that leap, it was my hospital discharge date. The Representative Cindy's response was what else could it be.

I replied you never asked for information asking if I returned to work. Well Cindy says I have to supply it.

This whole thing is set to make it as difficult as possible to activate the protection. If not for my daughter, I would have to pay thousands of dollars of fees and charges.

Capitol One will not take me to court because they know that they will loose based on the payment protection. So instead they seek to ruin my credit.

Capitol One is a fraudulent organization. No one should use their service.
