Charged to my sears card monthly then denied coverage when needed

I am a seasonal employee and realized last year a this time my credit would be in trouble. Upon recieving a call from Sears about a payment due, I imformed them of my situation and hardship. A representative was gladly able to assist me and recommeneded their Account Care Protection, knowing about my seasonal standing. Each month my account was charged, even to the point of sending me over limit. As this season layoff neared, I followed their instructions to wait 30 days then send the required paperwork to be processed and accepted. I did so, wondering how it couldn't be accepted if I was paying approximately $70 per month.

Lo and behold, it was in fact denied, along with a letter explaining the exclusions. Keep in mind that I did state to the original rep that I was a seasonal employee that returned to the same job within 5-6 months.instead the deial letter states that I would not be eleigible due to (A) vulontarily forfeiting my job. (B) resigning. (C) retiring. (D) becoming disabled due to sickness, illness, disease, accident, injury, childbirth, or pregnancy. (E) ending a tour of duty. (F) termination due to unlawful activity or criminal misconduct. (G) ended a military tour. (H) reached a sceduled end of employment. Then they stated my benefit request would now be closed.

EXACTLY what kind of unemplyment is left that would qualify me, and why did the rep not imform me of these exclusions knowing I had stated at the beginning that I was seasonal? Here's the best part... Due to my inability to handle my credit card debts, I was recently forced to file bankruptcy. I had recently imformed Sears of this prior to my filing and made a deal with a hardship program to close my account, yet make small affordable monthly payments. No other activity was to occur on my card. I just recieved my Sears statement to find that Account Care still charged another monthly fee to my supposedly closed account! (A) Who authorized this charge to occur if the account was closed? (B) What made them think if I was denied what they originally offered, that I wanted to continue handing them over money for nothing? (C) What can I do now to protect others from this same scam? (D) What's the next step?
