NCO Financial
Systems Inc - NCO Fin/51 NCO Does Not Adhere To Fair Credit Reporting Act Ripoff

Business & Finance

In Jan 06, I incurred a medical debt.in Mar, they tried to get me to agree to pay $50 or more a month. I tried to tell them I could not do that but would send them money every month which I did.

Almost immediately, they sent my account to NCO. NCO reported the debt as "seriously past due" in Jun and Oct. The final payment on this debt cleared my bank Jan 17. They have not reported anything at all since. I had Equifax verify the debt in Feb, Mar and Apr thinking that it would eventually come back paid and they came back each time that it was verified.

I then called NCO. After getting the run-around for an hour (they would transfer me or put me on hold and I would get disconnected), I finally found someone who talked to me about this. While on the phone she supposedly talked to a co-worker and asked that he/she get this fixed. Well, it's now the end of August and I am still fighting these people to get this corrected on my credit report.

I recently sent them and the original creditor a letter demanding that they comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We'll see what happens.
