Fraud & cheating!

I too received and old Verizon bill from 1998 for a bill that was not mine. I called to complain to Verizon and basically they said they never cross check social security numbers before sending to collections. Mind you I had a valid Verizon account at that time and still do and have never received any late notices. I told them that I am so angry that I am considering canceling my service. They really don't care. Why isn't the government stopping these scams? I told Afni that the bill isn't mine and there is a statue of limitations in California. I also told them my next letter will be to the State Attorney General. Does anyone know if there is a class action suit to stop these morons...
