Sent my home into foreclosure after they agreed I had until the 31st. Ripoff

I have only had my home for one year and it has been a nightmare working with this company. After falling behind my first month due to a car accident I had in my police cruiser and having to support my disabled child I contacted Homecomings Financial and they sent me forms to fill out and fax regarding a short sale of my property.

After two months of late payments and the fact I was having no luck selling my house I received a settlement with my car accident/workmans comp case and my son started receiveing his disability payments so I had the money to pay this company. They agreed that I had until the 31st of July to bring everything current.

On the 31st I contacted them so that I could pay them all the money as agreed and they informed me they would not take a payment, that my home had been sent to forecloseure, just as they had promised would not.

My lawyer had in conversation informed me that Homecomings Financial was quite popular on the rip off report and so I was not surprised that they had done to me exactly what so many other people were reporting.

I am ready to just let them take this house. It seems like they don't even want you to keep it. I have been a cop for 13 years and I am the single mom of 4 kids that I support completely on my own, one of whom is disabled. I am sad to have to walk away from their security, but I think this company is a scam and wish there was something I could do instead of being held hostage by them.

I am stumped! Do I pay this enormous amount of money or do I just cut my losses here and leave. Any assistance out there would be greatly appreciated!
