ATM robbery funds restored then taken back by BA with no apparent investigation performed ripoff

If you leave a BA ATM before the screen has completely cleared back to the original screen, you're PIN number is still registered in the machine. No one is aware of this, BA refuses to warn customers of this, and they go on to claim that they have no connection with the ATM machines and have nothing to do with what goes wrong with them. This is my story.

I went to the BA ATM and took out a 45 dollar withdrawal. I left quickly due to a long line of cars behind me. I found out 2 days later that the person behind me immediately took out 3 deposits in a row on my PIN number, completely draining my account and leaving me with 15 dollars. They then tried to access my savings account and would have done the same, except I don't have a savings account!

The first BA representative I spoke to saw exactly what had happened from the records, apologized profusely, and said she would see that the money was restored.

The funds were replaced immediately, and when the fraud report arrived in the mail, I filled it out and sent it in well before the deadline to respond. Three weeks later, the money was removed by BA (I received no notice, although they swear they sent me a letter!), taken at a time when I was short on money so I would be overdrawn and they could collect their overdraft fee. I was therefore ripped off at the ATM by a thief and then again by BA, while they made a profit by taking their overdraft fee.

I have been through hell trying to get some amelioration for this situation and have been stone-walled the entire way. I filed a police report, but they can't seem to get anywhere with these people either. I was never allowed to speak with an investigator to find out exactly what they investigated. It's all a big secret! All they had to do was just take one look at the video tape of that day's transactions at that ATM and all would have been perfectly clear. Obviously, they chose to sit behind their desks, eat their donuts, and arbitrarily decide to deny my claim.

I have been victimized by this bank from start to finish, and my frustration level is beyond belief. I spent 2-1/2 months trying to get my money replaced by them, months of completely wasted time and energy. They just keep saying, "Too damn bad for you."

I want this company slammed for their continued shameful and unethical practices towards their customers. Every time I hear one of them say, "We appreciate your business and have a great day, " I want to deck someone!
