I applied for a credit card and their terms and conditions link would not work.
I received the credit card with no terms/conditions included, when I called to get terms conditions sent to me never could get through to live person.
I received a statement stating I owed a $100 account origination fee as well as a $50 yearly membership fee. I called to close the account. I was told I qualified for buyers remorse and would not have to pay the fees due to the fact I did not use the credit card.
6 months later I get a call from their collections dept saying I was past due and owed them $600 on a $250.00 credit card.
I was told they would waive all but the $100 origination fee and to clear this up I paid $100 over the phone. 2 months later I received yet another call from their collections dept stating I owed them $571.00.
I told them I would not pay another penny and was given their executive office address and was told to put my concerns in writing. I have done this times and asked for a response every time and have not ever received any response.
I have put my attorney to work on this and have given Cross country my attorneys name and phone #.
They still call and send statements and are reporting past due to the credit bureaus.
Today I received a letter from them stating due to my past due status they have NOW closed my account
