Jennifer Convertibles, Jennifer Leather, HRS ripoff false promises

Purchased a Leather Sofa and Loveseat which was a floor model. Salesperson talked me into taking 0% financing for 6 months. I had purchased the items in March and my payment was to be due in September.

I sent my payment into them on 9/6/01 and they did not cash my check until 9/26/01 and then they billed me for $154.00 in service charges. I told them I refused to pay, and they just kept increasing my service charge. I then contacted the Department of Banking who was absolutely USELESS, they sent them a copy of my dispute and they have not ever even contacted me back and the fees just keep increasing!

Now my credit has been tainted, I have paid my debt in full as per my agreement with them, no one will do anything, and I am being penalized because they held my check for over two weeks! I am sure it did not take over 2 weeks for my check to be received. I have all copies of my checks and correspondence to the Dept of Banking as well as Jennifer Leather. Financing was through HRS, which is Household Credit Retail Services.
