I have been paying my Washington Mutual Credit Card each and every month promptly before the due date, and I checked online to see when my payment was posted to my account. I had made two payments for Novemvber in the amount of $40.00 each, coming to a total of $80.00. It showed after I made the last payment that I had an available crdit of over $60.00.

A few days later, I checked my account again online and it said I only had an availabel credit of $30.00. I cannot see how this happened because I never used my card for almost two months.in fact, I misplaced it and found it later at home. I called Washington Mutual and explained to them how my account could only have an availabel balance of $30.00, when I checked it after I made the last $40.00 payment and it said I had an available balance of over $60.00. I noticed that they took the purchase interest charges and the finance interest charges off my available balance for the month I had paid it. They didn't add these charges until the new billing cycle started for the next month,
but took the charges off the previous bill I had paid.

So, acutally the took about $37.00 off my November bill after I had paid them a total of $80.00, yet the charges didn't show up on my statement until the new billing cycle started on November 20t-December 20th. I think that they should at least show these charges on the bill right away, instead of showing it on the new bill and taking the charges off of the previous bill you already paid. Who knows they might try to be sneaky, and may be taking these charges off at the beginning of the month
and the end of the month, for which they may be doubling the charges on you. I'm going to have to check this out and make sure they aren't doing this. This is a total RIP-OFF!!!

So Beware of what you are doing and check your account frequently. THe reps said they couldn't do anything abouti it and that I agreed with it. THey never sent me any paperwork when I received the card. I just called them and they only took 5 minutes to approve me over the phone.
