Don't open credit card accounts with WaMu, they're outrageous. Last month my balance was over limit by $67.91—$35.00 of which was the overlimit fee. They asked for a payment of $143, I made an online payment of $165 on July 9th. On July 16th — 7 flippin' days later — they charged me another overlimit fee! For being $1.63 over the limit! Which was caused by the $98.72 monthly interest charge they hit me with.

The previous month's interest was $90.38, so I thought I was safe in estimating $95.00 for this month's interest to come up with my payment of $165 to make sure I would still be under my limit when this month's finance charge hit.

I just got off the phone — with India I think — asking them to remove the $35.00 overlimit fee since the $1.63 I was over was caused by their inflated interest rate and got a complete runaround. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN, and I suggest no one else do either. I've been a customer since have paid inordinate amounts of interest to them, and they won't reverse a lousy overlimit fee for $1.63 their finance charges caused. The second — and I mean THE second I get my tuition reimbursement check from work in the fall, I am paying off that card and NEVER doing business with them again. Never.
