Old National Bank
Fired by my bank in retaliation for complaining to the Better Business Bureau. Evansville

I had filed a complaint with the BBB on October 5 against Old National Bank regarding $66.00 in overdraft fees that were charged to my checking account that I felt they were unjustified. The $66.00 was eventually credited back to my account and no other issues have occurred since.

I received a letter from ONB yesterday stating "On multiple occaisions, you have made a conscious decision to conduct yourself in an unacceptable manner at our Vincennes Plaza location, which is ONB property. As a result, ONB is closing all account relationships with you".

This is a totally false accusation. I spoke to the Mgr. Of that branch, a person named Karen, over the phone back in October when the initial problem occurred and she hung up on me because she said I was raising my voice. I called back and ask for her supervisor's name and phone number and told her and her supervisor that I felt she was not qualified for her job if she could not handle customer compliaints any better than she was able to do.

Her supervisor was very professional and refunded the $66.00 that I felt the bank had wrongly taken from my account. That was the only incident ever and it took place over the phone and not on company property. I have tried in vain to reach the author of the letter, Randy Sutton, V.P. Corporate Security, but have yet to receive a response to my voice mails.

I have to believe that this is simply retaliation from the bank for filing a complaint with the BBB. I only bank with ONB because it is the only bank my company uses for direct deposit of payroll.
