Refuses To Cash My Payroll Check! Customer NO-Service on An Account in Good Standing!

I am closing my checking account with Bank of America after six years of customer NO-service. They will NOT acknowledge their mistakes, even though they have been notorious for depositing money into the wrong accounts, only to turn around and charge transfer fees in order to get it into the RIGHT account, which causes my account to be overdrawn. Oh, and did I mention the overdraft charges which followed, as a result of THEIR mistakes?

And, here's the kicker: they REFUSED to cash my payroll check today because of "my PAST history of being overdrawn"."You'll have to deposit the FULL amount, before I can accept it", their teller tells me this afternoon as my jaw drops to the floor. As soon as I recovered, I took my check back and responded very coldly: "No THANK you", and stormed out of that bank.

I took it down the street to the bank on which the check was written on, and they were more than delighted to cash it for me... And at NO charge. "That doesn't make ANY sense", their teller said, disgusted when I told her how BOA had treated me. Have I somehow turned into trailer trash, just because I am choosing to handle MY money in a different way? I don't THINK so!
