Since day one I new Ocwen was a thorn in my side. When they bought my mortgage from New Century, they gave me a notification letter which detailed the new account number and where to send it. No one told me that if I didn't have a coupon from my statement (which I didn't get that month) it needed to go to a different address. I received a call on the 2nd of that month and the representative said that I was in default of my loan. Default! I wasn't even past the grace period yet. After that, I knew that this was going to be one big pain that won't go away.

Just recently in May Ocwen called me to let me know that "they have not received my check". I use online bill pay through my bank. I, of course, thought my bank was at fault. They had mailed it in sufficient time. I stopped payment on the check they sent to them. I notified Ocwen that I stopped payment and I will handle this payment over the phone. I was notified that I would be charged $12 for handling this over the phone, and that because I stopped payment if they tried to cash the original check that I would have an insufficient funds charges of $25, plus the late charges. All this added to the bank stop payment fee of $31. This is over $100 in charges! I sucked it up and paid these fees for fear that it would affect my credit.

I chose not to use my online bill pay to pay Ocwen anymore. I mailed this month in more the sufficient time for them to receive it. Again, Ocwen did not received my check. My husband was told by Anoop (spelling?) that the late charge would be waived. I just received my statement and, what would you know, there is a late charge. Wow! It is like I am psychic or something!

I have made diligent written notes of the conversations between Ocwen. I do plan to start using Certificate of Mailing. This should show proof of when I mailed the check. I am also thinking of contacting an attorney about this issue. I am not having this issue affect my credit. My husband and I worked way too hard to improve it!

I absolutely refuse to use any of the services. Why do I want to pay the outrageous amount for these services? Sure, just let me pull some money off my money tree to give ya just cause I want to!
