Ripoff plus did sheriff's sale without notifying and put foreclosure on husband credit report

My wife and I had a mortgage with Homecomings financial. Being that I am disabled and had no income they removed me from the mortgage which made my wife totaly responsible for it. My wife ended up losing our home due to unable to keep up with mortgage payments on her sole income. So they sold our home in a sheriffs sale. Now they have a foreclosure on our credit report, even though I was not on the mortgage (my wife was) it is still on MY credit report. I have called numerous times trying to have this removed from my credit report, but all I ever get is an automated service, I could never talk to a live person to take care of this matter. My home was redeemed but Homecomings will not remove from my credit report. Can anyone please tell me how I can get help? Thank You
