0% interest offer followed by late charges despite check date

Chase offers o% interest to suck you in then they charge late payment regardless of check date. Called up chase they agreed to waive late charge but then a few months later started charging interest without notice when I called them back they claimed that I was late that one time and that had voided contract even though check date was good and late fee was waved.
