Ripoff This Company TRIED To RIP ME OFF BEWARE!

I was contacted this morning regarding a credit card. As I plan on purchasing a home soon, when I was told after six months I would automatically be approved for a home loan, I immediately signed up. I couldn't believe that someone my age with not necessarily BAD credit but NO credit was approved for a 6.9% percentage rate! I was told they needed my account numbers to verify that I have an "active" checking account and that info would be destroyed immediately and never accessed again. I was told there was a one time completely refundable fee of $300. When I said I couldn't come up with that kind of money (i.E. It wasn't in my bank account) I was told I could spilt the payment up between May and June. I was lied to. Thankfully I have an excellant bank that informed me as soon as this illegitimate company tried to make a $150 withdrawl from my account. I called and spoke to someone named John Lawson who kept accusing me of "freaking out" on him, when I believe I was doing quite well under the circumstances. I asked him to cancel my credit card, forget my name and account numbers, and NEVER call me again. I informed him that I would be contacting the media and if my account is touched by his company or any other, I plan on bringing this to court.

PLEASE people beware of this company, I caught on to it soon, many others have not. If something sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. I know I will be watching my account very closely and if need be, I will close it and take legal action.
