Credit card ripoff

I too was contacted by capital financial over the phone. I was contacted by a lady named Robin. She said I was approved for a $2000 credit card with a fixed rate of 8.9%. She asked for my bank information to verify for an active checking account.

Then after I had given her all the information she then mentioned there would be a one-time fee of $200 that would be withdrawn from my checking account. I then told her I didnt have the $200.

So she then offered to split the fee in two payments. Since her bank only allowed her two weeks to recieve the fee she would call me back next week (which would be May 19) to make payment arrangements.

After thinking it over and over I decided to check out the phone number she had given me and to my surprise I come to find out it was all a rip off! Thanks to this website.

I immediately went straight to my bank and closed my account and re-opened a new one. What can I do when "Robin" calls me back on the 19th? I wish I could be more help to stop anyone from this rip off.
