Ripoff Don't Fall For It!

Business & Finance

I received a call this morning at my place of business. I was called by an operator that verified that I was over the age of 18 and that I had a checking account. I said that I did and was very confused about what was going on. I haven't applied for any new credit cards in over a year! I was put on with another fast talking woman. She said that I had been approved for a secure Mastercard that didn't require a credit check and I just needed to give her the numbers along the bottom of my check to verify my identity. I told her to forget it! I told her that a) I had not applied for any credit and b) she was crazy if she thought I would give her that information so she could drain my bank account. She got very rude with me and asked me why I didn't want to have more security for my future with a new credit card. I told her a new credit card was the last thing that I needed to secure my future and that I had plenty of other cards that didn't require my checking information. She said that I would only be able to get new cards that required annual fees, huge deposits, etc. I told her that not one of my cards had required anything like that. I asked her what company she was with and she told me the Platinum Benefit Group and was backed by Bank First. Then she promptly hung up on me. I entered the company name into a search engine and the first link that popped up was this website! Beware! Beware! Beware! This is not a legit company!
