Finds another way to violate consumers rights! No mailed disputes! Ripoff!

Business & Finance

Well, Experian started phasing in a policy last year that is almost fully implemented.

According to the Experian website, Experian no longer accepts mailed disputes! This is a discriminatory practice against those who do not have internet access, AND the agreement you must accept to do the online dispute has provisions that are in violation of your rights under the FCRA, and even the FDCPA.

The main one being the ability to send your dispute by certified means and have proof of service as per your right to have the information proven valid or removed in 30 days as provided for under the FCRA.

The second thing they have initiated is no more telephone disputes! This has already been identified on affiliate and partner sites, such as identityguard.com, and others.

Experian is trying to make it as hard as possible to dispute anything. And when you do it online, you do not get any proof of what you disputed or that they even got it at the time you make the dispute online.

You will get results a few weeks or months down the road, if they feel like responding to you.

We need to file as many FTC complaints as we can on this one, and letters to Experian Corporate.
