Failed to accurately investigate disputed credit items

I have wrote to Experian on several ocassions to dispute items on my credit report. My credit scores with Equifax and Transunion are remarkable. Experian is listing several items that do not belong to me and I have wrote several letters to this matter. On one occasion they informed me that they investigated the item, but when I contacted Exxon myself, they informed me that my account has been closed out for over 3 years and my file is in Archive. So, how could they have investigated it, when they could not help me with my own account, when I contacted them.

They really need to do their job and investigate the items, when consumers are attempting to dispute. A person's credit is really important to them, and to have a Credit Bureau like Experian make it hard to become financially stable..

A law need to be passed to have Experian actually do their job and investigate these items.

Please assist me if you can.
